2009-2010 GAFHK Healthy Schools Award Application Available!

GA AFHK is excited to be able to extend our Healthy School Awards program into the third year.  In partnership with, United Healthcare, Georgia Department of Public Health, and SUDIA, GA AFHK have made a commitment to rewarding and recognizing Georgia Schools who have made outstanding progress implementing their school wellness policies.   

Last year, we had many outstanding applicants and we feel confident that we will have even more this year.  As a team member, you can help us reach our goal of contacting every school in Georgia and inviting them to apply for the Healthy School Awards.  You can help by:

• Working with your own school and school wellness council to complete the application
• Sharing this correspondence with schools, school representatives and others with school contacts.
• Including this announcement in newsletters, meetings etc.

Please help us identify the “best of the best” and reward them for their outstanding school wellness programs.
