Welcome to the Nebraska Team

Action for Healthy Kids is the nation’s leading nonprofit and largest volunteer network fighting childhood obesity and undernourishment by partnering with schools to improve nutrition and physical activity to help our kids learn to eat right, be active every day and be ready to learn.

Nebraska Action for Healthy Kids Summit 2013:  "School Wellness:  A Foundation for Academic Success"

Thank you to everyone who attended this awesome event and to all of you who are a part of school wellness.  School wellness happens in many different ways and no matter what you do in a school or for a school – you play a part in creating a culture of wellness.   And this culture of wellness is a critical for students and their academic success.  Take what you learned from the various local and national leaders and continue to do the great work you do each and every day in your schools.

Thank you to all of the sponsors who help to make this event happen and a special thanks to the Gold Level sponsors:  ConAgra Foods Foundation, Hunger Free Heartland, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (Nutrition & Activity for Health Program), Nebraska Department of Education Coordinated School Health, and Midwest Dairy Council.
